Tenon Tours understands the importance of international travel and has designated a week specifically to those who want to turn their Ireland Tour into a vacation to meet others close in age. Travel with your closest friends and family members, or go it alone to meet other individuals with similar travel interests - but remember, the more the merrier! Since you’ll only be traveling with other fun individuals, you won’t have to worry about not having anything in common and you’ll have an opportunity to experience all the sights and sounds that Ireland has to offer.

Itinerary

Take a look at the full itinerary and some of the many events and tours you can take advantage of during your Ireland vacation. Remember, the beauty of our trip is that it provides the necessary transportation, city-center accommodations, and featured tours and events, but is flexible enough to give you the power to pick and choose what it is that you really want to do on your Ireland trip. This means, if half of the group wants to check out the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, while the others spend the day shopping on O’Connell Street - that’s ok; Tenon Tours can make that happen!

Day 1: Sunday - Arrive in Dublin, Ireland

Arrive in the early morning to Dublin International Airport, where you will be greeted by your Tenon Tours Host* and directed to your hotel transportation. Upon arrival to your hotel, our Tour Host offers a short “Introduction to Ireland”, before checking-in and having the day at your leisure. For those of you who would like to immerse yourself into the local sporting culture, the featured event will be a Gaelic Football or Hurling Match at Croke Park and be sure not to miss tonight’s wildest welcome party* hosted at a nearby pub!

Day 2: Monday - Dublin to Kilkenny

Spend the morning recovering from last night’s welcome party or begin exploring the streets, shops, and pubs of Dublin. You may choose to join in a tour of the Guinness Storehouse and enjoy a complimentary pint in the top-floor Gravity Bar overlooking Dublin. This afternoon, board your coach bus for a relaxing ride through the Irish countryside to Kilkenny on the west coast. Tonight a Pub Greeting* awaits your arrival.

Day 3: Tuesday - Kilkenny to Cork

Enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast at your leisure this morning. The day is yours to experience Kilkenny at your own pace or head down to Waterford for the day, home of Waterford Crystal. Then travel from Kilkenny to Cork.

Day 4: Wednesday - Cork

Take the day to explore all Cork has to offer. Famous for its traditional Irish cuisine, shopping and vibrant nightlife, you’ve got all day to take it in. Don’t miss your opportunity to view the tallest building in Ireland - County Hall (a skyscraper surrounded almost entirely by fields), and the longest building in Ireland - Atkins Hall (built in the Victorian times is now residential housing). Head to the pub tonight for a taste of Cork’s local flavor - Murphy’s Irish Red.

Day 5: Thursday - Cork to Killarney

Wake up to your traditional Irish breakfast, pack up your room, and board the bus to Killarney. Check-in before taking in Killarney at your own speed, or relax in preparation for a night out at the local pubs! See your Tour Host* for details or a list of local pubs and events.

Day 6: Friday - Killarney

Another day to explore Killarney - you may join our trip around the Ring of Kerry, Ireland’s most popular scenic areas with the country’s highest mountains on one side and Atlantic coast on the other. Bike tours are also available or you may enjoy the local scene of Killarney, it’s always your choice! Tonight, take part in a local pub crawl with your mates.

Day 7: Saturday - Killarney to Lahinch

Depart Killarney and check-in to your hotel in Lahinch for the final stop. Take full advantage of the serenity as you wind down from a wild week. Today you may want to join our excursion to see the majestic Cliffs of Moher.

Day 8: Sunday - Lahinch to Shannon/Home
(7 Night packages only. 10/14 Night packages travel to Galway)

7 Night travelers say goodbye to Ireland and your new friends as we leave Lahinch for Shannon to board your return flights home.

10/14 Night travelers continue your journey to Galway and check-in to the Western Hotel.

Day 9: Monday - Galway (10/14 Night packages only)

Enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast at your leisure this morning. The day is yours to experience Galway at your own pace or take advantage of the featured tour of the Connemara region, well known and loved by artists for its unspoiled beauty. Ask your tour director for details or for a list of local pubs, attractions and tonight’s pub event.

Day 10: Tuesday - Galway
(10/14 Night packages only)

Give back to the people of Ireland by participating in the community event arranged by Tenon Tours, challenge your mates to a local pub crawl, or take advantage of the featured tour to the Aran Islands, Europe’s easternmost point where Gaelic is the first language of its residents and is considered the foothold of Irish culture. Ask your tour director for details or for information on tonight’s pub event.


Day 11: Wednesday - Galway
to Shannon/Home (10 night packages only) Galway to Limerick (14 Night packages only)

10 Night travelers say goodbye to Ireland and your new friends as we leave Lahinch for Shannon to board your return flights home.

14 Night travelers: Wake up to your traditional Irish breakfast, pack up your room, and board the bus to Limerick. Check-in before you explore the exciting city of Limerick. Be sure to check out Cruises Street and the city center for some of Ireland’s best shopping. See your Tour Host* for details or a list of local pubs and events.

Day 12: Thursday - Limerick (14 Night packages only)

Be ready for an exciting day of sights, as Limerick offers visitors a wide variety of options. Check out any of the 400 castles in County Limerick, or take the day to participate in the featured tour to Adare Village and Heritage Center. If adventure is your thing, head to the Mitchelstown Caves for a day of exploration.

Day 13: Friday - Limerick to Dublin (14 Night packages only)

Start your day at your leisure and take in some of the famous sights from the movie Angela’s Ashes, taking place in Limerick. Later, board the bus for a beautiful ride through the Emerald Isle as you travel back to Ireland’s capital city, Dublin.

Day 14: Saturday -Dublin
(14 Night packages only)

Say goodbye to Ireland and finish your travels with the ultimate farewell toast, last minute shopping and goodbye dinner at your favorite Irish pub.

Day 15: Sunday - Dublin Airport for return flight home
(14 Night packages only)

Wake up to head back to Dublin Airport for your return flight. Safe travels and we’ll see you next year!
