From here a short drive takes you to the “bonny, bonny banks” of Loch Lomond. Edinburgh City Sightseeing Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus Tour
Take a journey by bus on a Edinburgh City Tour with numerous stops located conveniently around the city, hop on and off at your leisure. Edinburgh has been the Capital of Scotland since the 15th Century and stands proudly on seven hills creating the dramatic skyline of this lively cosmopolitan city. Compare Edinburgh’s Old Town, where families lived in cramped conditions and rubbish was thrown out of the windows to the elegant Georgian New Town with its three main streets and a square at either end. Loch Ness, Glencoe & the Highlands Tour from Edinburgh
The Loch Ness, Glencoe & Highlands day tour starts in Edinburgh and passes through magnificent Glencoe, scene of the clan massacre of the MacDonalds by the Campbells in 1692, and on through Fort William, the beginning of the “Great Glen” and the Caledonian Canal, which you follow up to Fort Augustus, nestling on the banks of Loch Ness. Here you can enjoy your lunch or take a wander along the lochside with spectacular views of the loch.
