City-Hopper: Ireland North
Take a look at a sample itinerary from our Ireland North Signature Tour and some of the many events and day trips available. Our trips provide necessary transportation, city center accommodations and featured tours and events, but give you the option to choose the things you want to do and see.

Optional Pre-tour night, Wednesday: Dublin, Ireland (7 & 9 night travelers only)
Add a pre-tour night in Dublin for an extra day to explore the capital city.
Day 1, Thursday: Arrive in Dublin, Ireland (7 & 9 night travelers only)
You will have this day at your leisure to check out the shops on Grafton Street, Trinity College or to use your 24-hour pass on Dublin‘s hop-on/hop-off City Tour Bus. You’re invited to a tour welcome party, hosted at a nearby pub, where the Tenon Tours arrival representative will offer a short Introduction to Ireland as you get to know the other people who will be traveling with you.
Day 2, Friday: Dublin to Belfast, Northern Ireland (7 & 9 night travelers only)
Wake up this morning to a delicious Irish breakfast, check-out of your hotel and get ready to board your transfer to Belfast. Today, take one of the world famous Black Taxi Tours of Belfast, or use your 24-hour pass on Belfast‘s Hop-On/Hop-Off City Tour Bus to get a nice overview of the beautiful city filled with rich history and unique architecture.
Day 3, Saturday: Belfast (5 night travelers arrive)
Begin exploring the streets, shops, and pubs of Belfast. Choose to join in one of the day’s featured tours of either the North Antrim Coast visiting Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge or the Kingdom of Mournes Tour to head south to County Down to view the mountain slopes of Slieve Donard and visit the Church of Ireland Cathedral, where St. Patrick’s remains are buried. This evening take some time to relax, enjoy the city and head to a few lively pubs for some great music and good people.
Day 4, Sunday : Belfast to Donegal, including a stop in Derry (5, 7 & 9 night travelers)
Enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast. Board your transfer for a scenic journey from Belfast to Donegal including a two-hour stop in Derry. Take this time to enjoy some lunch or a guided walking tour and learn why Derry is described as “a city to savor.” Continue on to Donegal where you’ll settle in and enjoy dinner in town.
Day 5, Monday: Donegal (5, 7 & 9 night travelers)
The northwest offers some of the friendliest people and finest scenery in Ireland. Choose from an array of activities including a visit to Donegal Castle, a cruise around Donegal Bay, fishing, hiking or a featured tour of West Donegal, home to Ireland’s oldest fishing village, Killybegs.
Day 6, Tuesday: Donegal to Galway (5 & 7 night travelers only) (9 night travelers – see section below)
Today you will board your transfer south from Donegal to Galway, one of Ireland’s liveliest cities! Upon arrival, take some time to explore what the city has to offer. Walk around the shops in Eyre Square or stop for a few pints at a local pub to listen to some traditional music, whatever you choose, Galway’s buzzing city is sure to have plenty of options!
Day 7, Wednesday: Galway (5 & 7 night travelers only)
Enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast at your leisure. The day is yours to experience Galway at your own pace or to take advantage of one of our featured tours! Whether you prefer the breathtaking view of the Connemara region or you want to venture our to the Europe’s easternmost point, the Aran Islands, you can choose whats best for you. Don’t feel like touring today? Try your hand at one of Ireland’s most spectacular golf courses, Galway Bay Golf Resort, and spend your second night in Galway visiting the shops, restaurants and pubs you may have missed the first night.
Day 8, Thursday: Galway to Shannon Airport/Home (5 & 7 night travelers only)
Say goodbye to Ireland and your new friends as you head to the Shannon Airport to board your return flight home.
Optional Post-Tour Night, Friday: County Clare (5 &7 night travelers only)
After another lovely Irish breakfast, board your transfer to take you to County Clare to check in for their final stop and farewell toast. Enjoy a walking tour of Ennis or visit the local pubs. In the evening travel to the Knappogue Castle or to Bunratty Castle for a “Medieval Banquet.”
Day 6, Tuesday: Donegal to Westport (9 night travelers only)
After your traditional Irish breakfast, say goodbye to Donegal and catch your transfer to one of Ireland’s liveliest towns, Westport, County Mayo. Along the way, enjoy a stop in Drumcliff to visit the grave of W.B. Yeats (included), Ireland’s most celebrated poet. Upon arrival in Westport, check in to your hotel and head out to explore the magnificent blend of traditional and cosmopolitan culture, from the cozy old-style pubs to modern restaurants and shops.
Day 7, Wednesday: Westport (9 night travelers only)
Visit Wesport House with it’s adjoining Adventure Park, go horse-back riding, fishing, painting, or take a day trip to Achill Island or Connemara.
Day 8, Thursday: Westport to Galway (9 night travelers only)
Today you will board your transfer south from Westport to Galway, one of Ireland’s liveliest cities! Upon arrival, take some time to explore what the city has to offer.
