1. The Castle of Brecon Hotel
The Castle of Brecon Hotel has been a hotel since the early 1800s, and it’s still welcoming guests today! There are 40 rooms, some with four-poster beds, four private dining venues, gardens and a bar. Most importantly there is The Regency Ballroom. This ballroom incorporates medieval remains of the Great Hall of Brecon Castle and is claimed to be one of the most attractive and historic venues in the Brecon Beacons National Park!
2. Castlell Deudraeth

3. Craig-y-Nos Castle
Ideally situated between Swansea and Brecon, be sure to bring your flashlight and teddy bear and this has been claimed as the “Most Haunted Castle in Wales” – oh my! There are 35 guest rooms some of which include views of Brecon Beacons National Park and others designed to accommodate the business traveler! Craig-y-Nos Castle is pet friendly, offers a gym (upon appointment only) and is a beautiful wedding venue (if you can get past the ghosts)!
4. Glandyfi Castle
The views from this 5-Star Castle hotel were described in the Daily Telegraph as “undoubtedly the most magnificent view from any house I know in Britain”. There are only 8 bedrooms at Glandyfi Castle all featuring a unique decor. This isn’t your typical upscale castle stay. It was built on the foundation of fun and imagination. The current owners do not want their guest house to be formal and stuffy. Tenon recommends this Castle Hotel to anyone looking for a fun relaxed castle stay!
5. Château Rhianfa
This French styled Château offers 30 rooms mixed with classic rooms, executive suites, deluxe rooms, superior suites and self catering cottages. The house was christened “Rhianfa”, which means ladies abode as you would expect nothing less from this castle hotel. They create a fairytale atmosphere for all of their guests. They offer wedding packages, too! 🙂
6. Ruthin Castle
