O'zapft is!

Every year from mid-September through early October, the world’s largest beer festival takes place in Munich, Bavaria!

This renowned event traces back to 1810 when Bavarian Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The wedding was so well received (from horse races and free-flowing beer to dancing, what’s not to love?) that it became an annual tradition. In the early days of Oktoberfest, it was actually held during the month of October. Eventually, the festival was moved to commence in September due to more amicable weather.

Today, guests from the world over travel to Bavaria, Germany every year to enjoy this fun-filled, traditionally held festival that is truly a lifetime experience!
