Looking for a friendly city to travel to in Europe? Look no further than Kilkenny, Ireland! Kilkenny was just named one of the world’s most friendly cities, according to travel magazine Conde Nast. The city came in number 9 on the list and was the only European city to make the top 10. This is as good of a reason as any to travel to Ireland!

Dublin was also relatively high on the list, making it to 12th place, and Cork was number 20, which makes Ireland a pretty friendly place to travel to!

The Chairman of Kilkenny had recently established a new program to promote tourism called the “Visitor Welcome Ambassador” program. This program gives tourists a “Kilkenny Welcome Ambassador Passport” which enables free admission to many attractions in the county. The Chairman, along with many businessmen and women, believe that this program is what gave them such a high ranking on Conde Nast’s list. The program has also brought in a vast number of tourists to Kilkenny and they expect the number to continue to increase in the coming months.
