Most people don’t know it, but since a declaration of the U.S. Congress in 1983 the first full week in May has been recognized as National Travel and Tourism Week. This year’s week is May 7th -15th. To celebrate events are held across the country, including parades, rallies and special offers for travelers.

Not only is tourism one of the largest industries in the U.S. and, according to President Obama, a contributing factor in the success of both the American and world economies, at Tenon Tours we’ve always held true to the belief that travel has the power to change lives. So whether it’s just to the next state or across the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland, we’d like to take this opportunity to encourage all of our friends to travel as often as they can.

In honor of National Travel and Tourism Week we’re also offering a number of specials on our Ireland tours. Take a look at our Specials Page to learn more!

Happy travels from the Tenon Tours team!
