The coast and countryside around Belfast double for key locations in the show, including coastal waters frequented by House Greyjoy, Melisandre and Davos.
What fans may not know is that the Game of Thrones author, George R. R. Martin, was inspired by a broad range of Celtic history and lore when creating the story world.
