Liz Aungier | Senior Product Manager | Dublin, Ireland

Meet Liz, a product manager with us since 2018. Born in Dublin, a place she still calls home, Liz has traveled widely in Ireland and Scotland, and fondly refers to Italy as her spiritual home, a place that draws her back again and again. In particular, she loves the South of Italy (the usual places like Sorrento and Amalfi Coast) but Naples also holds a special place in her heart, but maybe that’s just the pizza from Da Michele talking. She’s also a passionate foodie who makes a legendary lemon cake and loves it when tourists are surprised by the quality of the food in Ireland. You’ll definitely want to take her restaurant recommendations!

Besides being an expert in all things Ireland, she’s also worked in the tourism business all her professional life. From hotel reception areas, back-office operations, and reservations teams, to centralized booking for hotel groups, to the tour operator side of the business where she has spent the past 11 years. She loves learning about the destinations we sell and passing her knowledge on to our clients, as well as learning about the things that connect us as nations. For example, the deep connections of Scotland and Ireland both in terms of language and culture.

Hometown Love
As for her hometown of Dublin, she says it’s a great city. It’s easy to get around and within half an hour outside the city center, you can experience the fantastic coastal scenery of places like Howth, Malahide, Killiney, or Dalkey. Dublin itself has a lot of history to see, plenty of theaters to entertain you, and fantastic restaurants for eating out.
