Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2014 was released this week and hitting the number 3 spot on the list of the top countries to visit in 2014 was Scotland! The countries that make the list are the ones that are going to have a great year because of some event or new attraction. Scotland was third behind Brazil and Antarctica on the list. So, why was Scotland put on the list? One of the reasons is because Glasgow is hosting the XX Commonwealth Games in the summer of 2014. With this came a great face lift for the city.
