The Irish Life Experience is a 25-day cultural academic program offered to American and Canadian high school students. The High School Program consists of a wide variety of classes, workshops, and tours based in three locations throughout Ireland. The goal of the Irish Life Experience High School Program is to introduce North American students to the essential characteristics and qualities of Irish life. By being immersed in Ireland’s history and culture, young adults are able to better understand and appreciate a country whose people have played a significant role in the history of western civilization.

Program Dates: June 30-July 24, 2016
Program Dates for 2017: TBD
The Irish Life Experience includes 50 hours of classroom instruction in a relaxed environment. All classes are taught by certified teachers who focus on real world events and encourage student interaction.
Throughout the Irish Life Experience, students will be required to participate in several workshops and will have the opportunity to choose from a large selection of optional electives.
Throughout the Irish Life Experience, students will see and visit some of Ireland’s most historic places and impressive sights. They will experience Ireland’s beauty through guided tours and scheduled stops. Each of our featured tours offers students the chance to step back in time to places that have retained their original beauty and historical significance.
The Irish Life Experience utilizes facilities and accommodations of three different campuses in Ireland. From the coastal feel of Newtown School in Waterford, to the lively city living at King’s Hospital in Dublin, to the quaint picturesque setting of the Gleneagle Apartments in Killarney, and the cobblestone streets found around Gort na Coiribe in Galway, students will be immersed in the historic culture and rich academics of Ireland.
While all of the campuses and boarding facilities encourage peer-to-peer interaction through communal living, each differs from the other, offering unique characteristics and highlights throughout their environment and surroundings. Dormitory living in Ireland will be fun and exciting, but different from what students may experience in the US. Dorms are efficient and functional. Boys and girls will always be assigned to different dormitories.
Early Bird Tuition paid before 1/1/2017 is $5,100. Tuition paid after 1/1/2017 is $5,500. (If paid with credit card, there will be a $140 processing fee not included with the price.) This includes round-trip airfare, twenty-four night accommodations with meals, transportation in Ireland, teachers and counselors, and tours and admissions.
