Where did you travel John?:

What made you want to travel to Ireland?:
“To visit the general places where my grandparents were born.”

Who did you travel with?:
“I traveled with my wife, three children and my oldest son’s girlfriend.”

This may be tough to answer as Ireland is such a wonderful country with lots to see but, what were the top 3 places that you and your family visited?:

“Croagh Patrick
Guinness Brewery
Irish Pubs featuring traditional Irish instrumental music

We made it to all places on our wish list and they all greatly exceeded our expectations.”

Croagh Park, one of John's must see sights in Ireland!

What was the best part about your vacation?:
“Our stay at the Killeen Inn outside Killarney. The owners, managers, and workers could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. The location was spectacular and the food was phenomenal.”

What made you choose Tenon Tours?:
“I have used Tenon Tours twice before and received great service, great places to stay and everything always worked without a glitch (and one of those trips was to Austria/Germany). I have referred Tenon to others and those using Tenon have told me how pleased they were. I will use them again. All Tenonites have been great people to work with!”

Thank you John for being such a loyal Tenon traveler. (He even knows our Tenon lingo!) šŸ™‚

Do you wish you prepared better for any specific part of the trip?:

“I wish I would have had more time and saved up more money so I could have stayed longer!”

What are your favorite souvenirs you brought home?:

“Just the memories :)”

As you traveled with 6 people total, do you have any advice to give for people planning a trip with that many people?:
“I would recruit more family and get a driver!”

Did you learn any new Gaelic or Irish phrases?:
“No, but I did notice this time most people use, Hi Ya! as a Greeting.”

How did you feel about driving on the “wrong” side of the road?:
“A little rough in the beginning, but it was easy to adapt.”

What tips do you have for others planning a self-drive tour?:
“Get enough people and get a driver. We did that last time and that was the absolute best way to go.”
