Steve and his wife Jane just returned from visiting Ireland, England and Wales! Read about their vacation experience below:

What made you want to travel to Ireland and the UK?:

“The countryside and the history, and Irish ancestry.”

Where were the top 3 places to visit on your wish list? If you made it to them, what did you think?:

“Irish countryside, absolutely gorgeous. London, very exciting city with fantastic history. Museums – best museum was Churchill War Museum in London.”

Tough question alert! What was the best part about your vacation?:
“Best part was driving ourselves through Ireland.”

What made you want to travel with Tenon Tours? What advantages did you have booking with Tenon Tours?:

“Tenon made you feel like the client from the very beginning, and catered your trip to your interests and desires. Having Tenon take care of everything, you had no worries during the entire trip.”

How was your experience with your Personal Sales Representative(s)?:

“Excellent experience with our Rep. She made numerous recommendations, but always accommodating what we were looking for.”

Do you have any advice to offer up about the weather?:
“Prepare for we weather, but we were there during a heat wave. Don’t over pack!!!”

What are your favorite souvenirs you brought home?:
“Authentic wool items from Ireland, scarves, caps.”

Were there any unplanned parts of your trip that wound up turning into one of your favorite travel stories?:

“Occasionally taking a wrong turn lead us to some of the best rural roads through Ireland.”

How did you feel about driving on the “wrong” side of the road?:

“The driving is great, you get the hang of it very quickly.”

What tips do you have for others planning a self-drive tour?:

“Rent an automatic car, and one with a GPS.”

How did you go about planning your itinerary, picking sights, arranging them and figuring out how long to stay?:

“Worked with our Sales Rep, and reviewed her recommendations.”

Any advice for getting around? Using maps, GPS, following road signs, etc..:

“GPS is the best for getting around. Road signs are excellent. Just remember the slow lane is on the right.”

Any advice for the “roundabouts” or “circles” while driving?:

“Get in the left lane if your turn is the first exit, the right lane if a later exit.”

Please feel free to add ANY extra experiences, tips, notes, advice or stories you may have:

“London – If you decide to go to a show, book tickets online, avoid the kiosks in Piccadilly Circus”

Thank you Steve and Jane for choosing Tenon Tours! We hope to assist you again in the future šŸ™‚
