The only thing the Tenon team loves more than Italy is authentic Italian food. Here are our favorite restaurants to dine at when visiting The Boot.
Franco’s Pizza – Sorrento
This pizzeria is considered one of the best pizza spots in Sorrento. Inside you’ll find a casual, vibrant and rustic atmosphere with plenty of options to choose from – including gluten free crust. There’s a reason this has made it on our list of places to visit when in Italy!
Il Vivandeiere – Florence
A highlight of this chic tapas bar is the stuffed meatballs – can you say “delizioso?” Located in Florence, Il Vivandeiere’s website says they are centered around good food, good wine and good music. We don’t know about you, but those three reasons are good enough for us to consider this one of our favorite restaurants in Italy.
Mangia Pizza Firenze – Florence
A culinary experience you simply can’t miss! We recommend this to all our pizza-loving travelers when they venture to Florence. At Mangia Pizza Firenze, you can watch them make your pizza right in front of you while you pick each topping from cheese to crust. Hungry yet? We know we are!
Trattoria Ai Cacciatori – Venice
If you’re looking for upscale dining and little to no crowds, this is the perfect spot. It’s less touristy than other restaurants in Venice and offers a beautiful view of Giudecca. Their menu is catered to Mediterranean as well as Italian dishes and ranks highly for food, service and atmosphere.
I Pizzicaroli – Rome
An easy 5-minute walk from Rome’s famous piazzas is I Pizzicaroli. This casual eatery focuses on traditional dishes passed down through the owner’s family and offers a variety of fresh meats on display. This is the perfect spot to grab lunch while enjoying a leisurely day in Rome!
