Kate’s desire to travel came from living in a busy tourist town and meeting people from all over the world. She wanted to experience their culture just as they were experiencing hers. Since those days she’s been to England, Spain, Portugal, Germany, USA, Canada, and the Netherlands, but her favorite is Montreal, Canada, because it’s steeped in history and is such a beautiful place.
Born and raised in Muckross, Killarney, Kate lived in Cork city for many years. She’s also lived in Brooklyn, New York, for a few months as well as Toronto, Canada. She began working in the travel industry in college and her love of it has only grown. To Kate, there is nothing more exciting and wonderful than jumping headfirst into experiencing a new country and culture. She joined Tenon in 2022 and loves being on the other end of the phone to help with any emergency/queries because she recognizes how invaluable and reassuring it is when you’re in a country you’ve never been to before.
