Currently Hiring: Director of Operations

Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing all product development, vendor negotiations and relations, tour bookings, and operational processes for tour packages within Ireland, the UK, Italy, and Iceland.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in travel, tourism, hospitality, business management, or related field
  • Extensive experience in contracting and negotiations, preferably within tourism industry
  • Excellent organization, analytical and communication skills
  • Professional and approachable demeanor
  • Positive work ethic, “can-do” attitude, and excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel internationally (4-6 trips/year)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and/or maintain strong relationships with individual hotel, transportation, tour, and attraction suppliers, as well as destination management companies (DMCs)
  • Research and develop new product offerings in new and existing destinations
  • Negotiate preferred rates and upgrades/incentives to be offered with featured tours
  • Training of staff to maximize product knowledge across all departments
  • Communicate with Marketing team to development promotional product content
  • Analyze operational process to reduce inefficiencies and enhance customer experience
  • Oversee individual booking of tour components by Travel Coordinators
  • Be the “go-to” person for specific product-related questions for custom itinerary creation
  • Assist with in-travel crisis management / Traveler Hotline protocol
  • Review financials of various programs to assess profitability
  • Work with tourism boards to strengthen relationships
  • Collaborate with all departments to help generate revenue, increase efficiency and reduce costs

Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Location: Wakefield, MA

Entry level, full-time position, Monday through Friday.

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for creating and sending out travel documents, making tour and car bookings, assisting with customer service, shipping travel packages and other material, and providing overall support in running the day-to-day operations of the main office. Components of this job are time-sensitive, so this person must be able to prioritize and work efficiently. This position works with a small team that helps with the booking and flow of travel arrangements for our clients.The ideal candidate is detail orientated, focused, organized, able to multi-task, and a team player. Some work-related travel may be required, but is minimal.Entry level position.

Qualifications

– Must be able to multi-task & be detail oriented
– Must be proficient with computers, specifically Word and Excel
– Professional phone etiquette
– Customer service experience is preferred, but not required
– Experience in the travel industry is a plus

Account Manager, Inbound Sales

Job Description

Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Training salary + commission/bonus and full benefits after 60 days available. 

Depending on experience, positions available in: Wakefield, MA – Lewes, DE – Home-based position.
Training period required in Lewes, Delaware.

Our team of Account Managers are responsible for handling all inbound inquiries and custom quote requests for Ireland/UK, Italy and/or Iceland vacation packages to direct clients and travel agents.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the international tourism industry is required

Job Description

Location: Wakefield, MA

Entry level, part-time position, 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Seasonal: March-Sept/Oct. Morning hours ideal for communication with Europe due to time difference.

Social Media Manager

Job Description

We’re looking for a social media manager to grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.

Operations Manager – Italy/Iceland | Groups

Job Description

Some prior experience required, full-time position, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidate looking to begin long-term career in travel industry with Tenon Tours.

The Operations Manager position available will be split between coordinating the Group reservations for all of the Tenon Tours destinations as well as administer the programs and product in our newest growing destinations- Italy & Iceland. This position requires providing overall support in running the day-to-day operations of the main office.

Sales Coordinator: Full-Time

Job Description

Location: Lewes, DE

Sales Coordinators will work directly with Account Managers to aid in selling custom vacation packages to Ireland, United Kingdom, Italy & Iceland. All team members are required to work together to ensure the efficient transition of each reservation between departments while maintaining the company’s excellent overall customer service rating.

The ideal candidate is looking to begin a career in sales in the travel industry. Some work-related travel may be required, but is very minimal, less than 5%.

Entry level, full-time position, 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday. Some weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • Some background of international travel is required.
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Sales and customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
  • MUST be proficient with computers (experience with Macbook, Gmail, Excel & CRM’s are a plus).
  • MUST be highly detailed oriented, organized & be able to multi-task.

Entry level, part-time position, 20-30 hours per week depending on availability, flexible schedule. Possibility of full-time position within 3-8 months.

Hours available Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm (Monday (required), ideal: Wednesday & Friday).

$10-$12 / Hour depending on experience.

  • Background of international travel or travel industry is a plus.
