Job Description

Tenon Tours, a boutique tour operator which specializes in planning custom vacations to Europe, is currently seeking a full-time role as Product Development. This position is responsible for creating and developing relationships with new vendors and suppliers to increase offerings across current destinations, as well as new destinations throughout Europe. The primary objectives are to identify product needs, gaps, and opportunities to include transportation, tours, attractions, activities, and services to enhance the traveler experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in travel industry operations/product development
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent training and communication skills to effectively train team members
  • Moderate to advanced systems/software adaptation, use, and understanding in order to analyze data, run reports, and identify areas of inefficiencies
  • Professional and approachable demeanor
  • Positive work ethic, “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Source and secure new product for FIT travel programs including tours, attractions, and optional activities in featured destinations
  • Work with the Product Manager to identify and implement new product offerings within the sales process and reservations systems
  • Load product into reservation system including vendor names, descriptions, availability, and rates
  • Provide ongoing training to sales and service teams on all product offerings to ensure maximum exposure and revenue
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate process and documentation for booking product
  • Assist with expansion of destinations offerings throughout Europe including the sourcing of DMC partners and direct suppliers
  • Manage various contract terms, deposit schedule, and drop dates
  • Attend conferences as needed for product/relationship development
  • Secure product for employee/team/agent FAM trips
