Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, is a stunning medieval fortress, built in 1270. After a succession of owners in 1903, the castle came into the possession of William Waldorf Astor, who remodeled the castle and constructed the glorious gardens.
Hever Castle offers 38 five-star luxury bedrooms in the Astor Wing and Anne Boleyn Wing of the property. You also have the choice of staying in Medley Court, a luxurious 4-bedroom property, forming part of the Astor Wing. Accommodating up to 8 guests, Medley Court can be booked for a week or more stay up to a year in advance, or a minimum of two nights for short bookings (eight weeks in advance) depending on availability, of course.
The Leasowe Castle dates back to 1592, and was built to watch horse racing on the Meols sands. The original castle was called “New Hall” and consisted of just a single tower. Further towers, turrets and wings were added later. Over the centuries, the castle has played host to royalty, including members of the Stuart family and King William III.
