Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, is a stunning medieval fortress, built in 1270. After a succession of owners in 1903, the castle came into the possession of William Waldorf Astor, who remodeled the castle and constructed the glorious gardens.

The Leasowe Castle dates back to 1592, and was built to watch horse racing on the Meols sands. The original castle was called “New Hall” and consisted of just a single tower.
