Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, is a stunning medieval fortress, built in 1270. After a succession of owners in 1903, the castle came into the possession of William Waldorf Astor, who remodeled the castle and constructed the glorious gardens.

Hever Castle offers 38 five-star luxury bedrooms in the Astor Wing and Anne Boleyn Wing of the property. You also have the choice of staying in Medley Court, a luxurious 4-bedroom property, forming part of the Astor Wing. Accommodating up to 8 guests, Medley Court can be booked for a week or more stay up to a year in advance, or a minimum of two nights for short bookings (eight weeks in advance) depending on availability, of course.

The Leasowe Castle dates back to 1592, and was built to watch horse racing on the Meols sands. The original castle was called “New Hall” and consisted of just a single tower. Further towers, turrets and wings were added later. Over the centuries, the castle has played host to royalty, including members of the Stuart family and King William III. We recommend you check out the “Battle Staircase!”

Fun fact: kings and queens have stayed here. Today, Thornbury Castle still resonates with history. But step behind the heavy oak doors and you’ll find a magnificent hotel with roaring fires, delicious modern cuisine and sumptuous bedchambers – a truly special setting for a weekend away or more formal occasions.

Built-in 1511, Thornbury Castle is the only Tudor castle to operate as a hotel and restaurant in England. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy regal dreams in the duke’s bedchamber where King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept. There are 26 bedchambers and all are fabulously atmospheric, most with four poster or coronet beds, stone walls, tapestries, roaring fires, ornate carved ceilings and views to historic parkland and the River Severn beyond.

This medieval castle, situated on a bend in the River Avon, dominates the town of Warwick. Rebuilt in stone in the 12th century on the site of the original castle built by William the Conqueror, Warwick Castle is one of the most visited tourist attractions in England. Most importantly, the castle now offers a choice of accommodation.

Families will love the Knight’s Village with its uniquely themed accommodation, including “medieval” glamping tents and lodges. For a real taste of history, the Tower Suites are situated in the castle’s 14th century Caesar’s Tower. Here you can enjoy a romantic four poster bed, a private tour of the castle, 24-hour concierge service, complimentary champagne on arrival and two day tickets to the Castle Dungeon attraction. This is definitely a Tenon Tours must see/stay!

Castle accommodations listed above may not include all possible castle accommodations available in England. Availability and rates are subject to change at any time at the discretion of each property and may not be reflected in the list above.
