1. CHECK THE URL.
Make sure that you are visiting the right website. A fake travel site may have a familiar URL to trick visitors, so always be sure to do your research and ensure you are booking on legitimate websites.
2. BE WARY OF BAD GRAMMAR.
Check the website for grammar misuse. Any reputable travel company will have clean, concise and accurate language while an imposter site can be riddled with obvious errors.
3. LOOK FOR LEGITIMATE AFFILIATIONS.
Many scam sites will include fine print on their website that confirms that they are not affiliated with the major airline or hotel chain that they are promoting. Other things to look for are the use of official logos and the name of the site itself.
