HOW IT STARTED

HONEYMOON PART 1: SCOTLAND
Newlyweds Jessica and Christian started their 12-day honeymoon in the historic country of Scotland. After spending their first few days exploring Glasglow (although they both wanted to stay longer!), they departed for the capital city of Edinburgh on October 31, 2021.
“We arrived [in Edinburgh] on Halloween, so it was really fitting to spend that night and the next few days exploring such a superstitious and “haunted” city. We also really enjoyed all the Harry Potter-themed tours, storefronts, and offerings!”
It’s no secret that Scotland is known the world over for its whisky. Jessica and Christian wanted to experience this while in Edinburgh, so our team arranged a guided tour and tasting for the two of them. As it turns out, it was a highlight of their trip:
“We absolutely loved the Scotch Whiskey Experience. As a whiskey aficionado myself, I really enjoyed learning about how whiskey was made and all of the different regions of Scotch production.”
HONEYMOON PART 2: IRELAND
Jessica and Christian then departed for Galway, located in southern Ireland. One of the best ways to get a feel for the local culture is by trying their cuisine, so the newlyweds opted in for a walking food tour.
“We loved the Galway Food Tour. We had a lot of questions about the food in Ireland (and Scotland), so I think if we could do it again (when COVID-19 is not a factor) we would love to do more food tours.”
Taking the train from Galway to Dublin, they enjoyed a few days in the city where they explored the world-famous Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery Whiskey Maker’s Experience.
WHERE TO NEXT?
While the two of them settle into married life back in the states, they haven’t started planning their next adventure just yet. But they know that they would love to go back to Scotland someday and even extend their travels into England or Northern Ireland.
