    Day 1: Welcome To Iceland

    Arrive at Keflavík International Airport and head to Reykjavík, where you’ll stay the first night. Get acquainted with your new home for the next two nights with a tour of the city.

    Day 2: Reykjavík

    Day 3: Reykjavík – Grundarfjörður

    Begin your journey around the Land of Ice and Fire as you leave the city and head north to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Along the way, you will see much of the wondrous west coast of Iceland boasting glaciers and volcanoes.

    Day 4: Grundarfjörður

    Explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsula today. This area of the country is so unique that it offers a small dose of everything found in and around the entire country in one location. From glaciers and mountains to fjords and lava fields, endless scenery is available to you in this part of the country.

  • Day 5 / 13

    Day 5: Grundarfjörður – Akureyri

    Head north and east today as you venture around one of the deepest fjords in Northern Iceland. You will be able to turn your camera filters off because Mother Nature is nothing short of spectacular in this region. In Skagafjörður Valley, you may spot herds of wild horses. End the day arriving in the most populous city in the north, Akureyri.

    Day 6: Akureyri – Lake Mývatn

    Departing Akureyri will take you to a mountainous region before arriving near Lake Mývatn. The area is rugged and otherworldly, which is why it has been used in filming interstellar movies. The rock formations, lava fields and natural geysers are plentiful and awe-inspiring. One of the nearby waterfalls, Goðafoss, is one of the most spectacular in the entire country. Later, when you arrive at Lake Mývatnt, enjoy a unique natural bath experience.

  • Day 7 / 13

    Day 7: Lake Mývatn – Fáskrúðsfjörður

    In today’s adventure, you will encounter the highland desert, a detour to Dettifoss waterfall and the Eastfjords. The desert is a region that covers much of the country, made of almost entirely volcanic rock and ash, which is incapable of retaining water. As a result, little to no vegetation grows, creating this vast desert. Your next stop is Dettifoss. This waterfall is considered to be the second most powerful waterfall on the continent. As you continue your journey eastward, you will encounter the eastern fjords where you will spend the night.

  • Day 8 / 13

    Day 8: Fáskrúðsfjörður – Kirkjubæjarklaustur

    Begin to explore the cooler part of Iceland, literally! Adventures include a glacial lagoon with floating icebergs and Vatnajökull National Park. There are numerous waterfalls in this region as well. This is the longest journey of your trip, so enjoy the coastline and natural beauty along the way.

  • Day 9 / 13

    Day 9: Kirkjubæjarklaustur – Hveragerði

    Continue your adventure through Southern Iceland with glaciers, lava beaches, bird cliffs and waterfalls. During certain times of the year, the icebergs break up, are carried out to sea, are beaten and battered, and then wash back ashore, appearing as giant gems along the beaches. This is an unbelievable site, and you won’t want to miss it.

    Day 10: Hveragerði

    The scenery in the region is too much for just one day, so spend the second day exploring the area that you did not get to yesterday. You may even spot some puffins!

  • Day 11 / 13

    Day 11: Hveragerði – Reykjavík

    Witness the glorious natural beauty that everyone comes to Iceland for, even if it’s just a weekend getaway. They come because of Iceland’s unparalleled natural beauty. The route is called the Golden Circle, and you will see the Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring and Þingvellir National Park all en route to Reykjavík.

  • Day 12 / 13

    Day 12: Reykjavík

    Enjoy the capital at your own pace. You can use the hop-on/hop-off bus tour to get around town, enjoy many of the museums, sample the local food, learn about the various whales that are present around the country or get out on the water for another cruise.
