  We’ll suggest preferred partner properties with a range of options, from family-owned bed-and-breakfasts and cabins to city center hotels.
- Guesthouses
  Smaller properties with a personal touch. These cozy, family-owned accommodations are scattered all over the country and are even more common than traditional hotels. They range from relatively luxurious bed and breakfasts to simple cottages overlooking a sheep or horse farm.

Your self-drive car rental comes with:
- Rental vehicle with available pick-up/drop-off at Keflavik International airport
- Choose from different car sizes and types, from luxury sedans to economy cars in the following categories:

- Due to weather conditions and potential road closures, 4×4 vehicles will be required outside of the standard May through September travel months.
- Included extras
  All compulsory insurance: Collision Damage Waiver insurance (CDW with a deductible), theft protection insurance (TP), VAT sales tax, unlimited free mileage, third party liability insurance, airport surcharge, and a free road map. Upgrades to Super CDW available.

Travel Tips
- Most rental cars are not allowed on F roads (mountain roads) and driving your rental car on an F road will void the insurance policy. F-roads are often impassable due to poor conditions and are typically closed from September–June. If you find yourself on an F-Road, reduce your speed.
- Off-road driving is strictly prohibited by law and is punishable by very heavy fines. Driving off marked roads damages fragile vegetation and can be dangerous for motorists.
- Watch out for sheep and other animals in the road.
- Headlights are required while driving in Iceland 24/7 even when there is extensive daylight.
