The Dark Hedges of Northern Ireland are a beautiful avenue of 18th century beech trees featured in Game of Thrones as Kingsroad. However in early 2016 a terrible storm that battered Northern Ireland destroyed many of the now famous trees.

The people of Ireland decided to turn tragedy into beauty by salvaging the fallen wood and turning them into unique works of crafted wooden doors. Each door is designed to represent a different episode of the show by using key symbols and scenes. Together they tell the tale of Season 6.

Take a look at a master at working making one of these magical doors below!

The doors will be on display throughout Northern Ireland situated near an iconic filming location.
