Join Tenon Tours and our Iceland partners from Nonni Travel as we virtually travel to the volcanic site of Geldingadalir, located on the Reykjanes Peninsula just outside of the capital city of Reykjavik.
The volcano first erupted in mid-March 2021 and has continued to spray lava – at times over 440 meters high – into the surrounding area (which is uninhabited).
In addition to our partners, we’ll also be joined by a local retired Geology professional, Jonas Helgason. Jonas was raised on a farm in the middle of lava fields in Lake Myvatn, North Iceland, and works as a tour guide. We’ll discuss this natural phenomenon and just how long this eruption will last.
