Norway Self-Drive Tours
We don’t throw the word ‘epic’ around lightly. But to describe a road trip in what might be Europe’s most drivable country, it suits just fine.
Ferries and Fjords
Begin your journey not in Norway, but in Denmark, at the Hirtshals ferry pier, to embark on a day ferry to Kristiansand, continuing on to the famous Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), perhaps the most photographed cliff in Norway. Take an unforgettable drive along the incredible Vesterålen archipelago, dotted with fishing villages, rich farmland, and a seemingly endless coastline. Or journey into the countryside to visit Hadeland Glassworks, to observe craftspeople creating beautiful works of art using traditional techniques. This is a country where not only the sights deserve to be lingered over, but the many viewpoints, rest stops, and even art installations are well worth your attention along the way.
Whatever road you choose, in Norway, it always leads to incredible discovery. Driving yourself around only adds to the adventure and makes it truly your own.
